Join the Jurassic Coast Trust on a walk to explore the world class geology and geomorphology of Budleigh Salterton. Find out about the River Otter’s very distant ancestor and why the cliffs contain a ready-made beach. The walk follows roughly two miles of surfaced path and promenade before dropping onto Budleigh Salterton beach for the last two hundred meters.

The vast majority of this walk uses well-surfaced paths and is relatively flat and level. The very last portion involves walking across the pebble and cobble beach, which some people can find strenuous. If you wish to discuss accessibility for this walk please contact [email protected]
Please note there are no concessions or toilet facilities on site. The nearest facilities and concessions are based at Budleigh beach or Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.
