Heath Week 2024: Bat Walk

Bat Walk

Join bat expert Sarah Butcher on a walk around Bystock Pools Nature Reserve and the Pebblebed Heaths NNR looking for bats and hopefully other nocturnal night-life such as nightjars and glow-worms.

    *Accessible via the minor road off the B3179 at the Hulham Road junction. Meet at top of meadow by north entrance.

Please note there are no toilets on the site.

Sorry no dogs on this walk.

The meadow area is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs (the pond entrance has rough paths and a boardwalk).

Please meet at the North Entrance of the reserve, which will be opened of parking – widen.slime.spinning

Please do not park on the roads, to maintain access for other users.

Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths.
